Do you like a good singalong? Do you remember any of these songs from school assemblies? Give me joy in my heart keep me praising; One more step along the world I go; He’s got the whole world in his hand. There’s a chance to belt them out loud at the start of the sponsored hymn-sing at Toll Gavel United Church, when we’ll be accompanied by the church’s folk band between 12 and 12.30.
From 12.30 onwards, hymns and songs will be accompanied on the organ or piano. You are welcome to drop in for as long as you would like to, up to 6pm. There are toys available for children to play with while you sing. There will also be refreshments served throughout the afternoon, including home-made cakes, and starting with a sandwich lunch from 11.30am.
The money raised through donations and sponsorship will go towards sustaining the good work of Toll Gavel United Church, which has over 80 church and community groups meeting regularly on its premises.
