Reverend Fran Rhys
After a degree in modern languages at Leeds University, Fran initially worked for the Council of Churches for Britain and Ireland, helping build understanding and relationships with the Church in the People’s Republic of China. Fran wanted to move into work with a stronger pastoral element, so became a teacher of English to speakers of other languages in various places and to different ages. The call to ordained ministry kept recurring, and the Methodist Church affirmed this calling in 2005 and she trained with much enthusiasm at the Queens Foundation in Birmingham. Before Beverley, she served as minister to churches in Leeds and Leicester.
